John Blouse

John Lawrence Blouse, “father, son, and a bada$$ MFer” 54, of Illinois City passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at his home.  A Celebration of Life for John will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the VFW in Muscatine.  A memorial has been established for the family in John’s name.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com

John Lawrence Blouse was born on December 21, 1970, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the son of James L. and Suzanne M. (Champion) Blouse.  John was a 1989 graduate of Muscatine High School and also a graduate of MMI Harley Davidson school in Phoenix Arizona.  John worked as a millwright for Grain Processing Company in Muscatine for many years.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, going to concerts, playing his guitar and spending time with family.       

John will be deeply missed by his parents, Jim and Suzanne Blouse of Muscatine; his children, Luna Jean (Mike Wesson) of Troy, Montana, Brittney Connor (Bryer Heath) of Muscatine and Harley (Renee) Butler of Troy, Montana; grandchildren, Hunter Babcock, Miley Babcock, Madelyn Connor, Delylah Upshaw, Lucy Connor, Kash Connor and Talon Schlieper; brother, Joseph (Lisa) Blouse of Fruitland; nephew, Oren Blouse; his children’s mother, Stephanie Butler of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and his faithful friend and companion, Tuco. 

John was preceded in death by his grandparents and son-in-law, Eric Connor.
