Jim Williams, 80, of Wapello, formerly of Oakville, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Oakville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Dolbee Cemetery in Mediapolis. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello. James Eugene Williams was born on March 18, 1942, in Oakville, Iowa the son of Wilber and Mary (Heath) Williams. On July 12, 1964, Jim was united in marriage to Janet Wykert at the Oakville United Methodist Church. Jim worked as a carpet layer for Dudgeon McCulley for many years and owned a farm and farm land. Later he owned and operated Superior Arms, Superior Tooling and Armatac with his sons. Jim was a lifetime NRA member. He loved to deer hunt, work in the shop and spend time with his family.
Jim will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet of Wapello; son, Terry (Diana) Williams of Wapello, grandchildren, Tawnya (Tim) Arnold, John (Katie) Williams, and Lloyd Noling; great-grandchildren, Riley, Alyssa, Cyrus, Austin, Bailey and Ian; brother, Carroll (Marjorie) Williams of Burlington and sister, Lola Yotter of Mediapolis.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Leo Williams.
