Jerry Jones

Jerry Jones, 75, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

A celebration of life will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Calvary Church in Muscatine.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Angela Jones, 919 Sunrise Circle, Muscatine, IA 52761 in memory of Jerry.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for the family.

Jerry LeRoy Jones was born on November 12, 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Edward and Shirley (Erkson) Hatfield.  Jerry graduated from Muscatine High School in 1962 and Muscatine Community College in 1964.  He was united in marriage to Mary Lister in 1965.  The couple later divorced.  Jerry managed Fox’s and Mosenfelder’s Clothing Stores for many years then was a realtor for Alpine Partners and Re/Max.  He also owned and operated Jerry’s Tag Sales.  He enjoyed fishing, antiques, theatre, musicals, pageants, casinos, traveling, and collecting historical Muscatine memorabilia.  Over the years he was active in many Muscatine organizations; Miss Muscatine, Miss Iowa, Muscatine Masquers, Lions Club and the Board of Realtors.  Jerry’s infectious laugh, sense of humor and smile have brightened many lives!       

Jerry will be deeply missed by his life partner, Bill Bubon of Muscatine; friend, Darin Dumke of Muscatine; three children, Angela Jones, Mike (Jamie) Jones, Becky (Chad) Zeck all of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Zachary Jirak, Danielle Jones, Gabe Jones, Cooper Zeck, Sawyer Zeck and many loving cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
