Jennifer Lynn Massey

Jennifer Lynn Brauns-Massey, 43, of Nichols, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Premier Estates. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in the High Prairie Cemetery. Following committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to her son, Blayze, college fund or the Muscatine Humane Society in memory of Jennifer. Jennifer Lynn Brauns was born on June 15, 1973, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Robert G. and Janet E. (Maxfield) Brauns. She was a graduate of Muscatine High School. On August 28, 1999, Jennifer was united in marriage to Michael Massey at the High Prairie Church. She was a bookkeeper for Brauns Excavating and enjoyed fishing, scrapbooking and spending time with her son.
Jennifer will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael of Nichols; son, Blayze Massey of Nichols; step-son, Chance Moak of Muscatine; mother, Janet Brauns (Tom Gillespie) of Muscatine; siblings, Robert (Penny) Brauns, Jon Brauns, Rodney (Jenny) Brauns and Joe Brauns, all of Muscatine ; six nieces, six nephews, three great nieces and two great nephews.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Ronald, paternal grandparents, Henry and Lorena Brauns and maternal grandparents, Max and Edith Maxfield.
