Jenellie Norton, 83, of Burlington, passed away on March 5, 2025 at her home in Burlington. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mediapolis with a reception at The Mediapolis City Hall to follow. Memorials may be left to the family in memory of Jenellie. The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis is caring for the family. Jenellie Jewell Allen was born on August 3, 1941, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of John and Bessie (Liter) Allen. She graduated from Hannibal High School. Jenellie was united in marriage to Charles Norton in 1963 at the Baptist Church in Wever. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2013. Jenellie worked at various jobs while raising her family, including, Levering Hospital in Hannibal, the Army Ammunition Plant and National Research Printing Company. She attended the First Baptist Church in Mediapolis. Jenellie enjoyed traveling, fishing, crafts, cooking, making cakes, especially wedding cakes for family and she never missed Wheel of Fortune. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
Jenellie will be deeply missed by her children, Vonita Norton of Burlington, Loren (Shelly) Norton of Kingston; grandchildren, Keena Norton, Joy Norton and John Norton; great-grandchildren, Peyton Sile and Autumn Sile; brother, Ray (Rachel) Allen and sisters, Linda Wienhoff and Kaythe Eversmeyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and two brothers-in-law.
