Jeff Hackett

Jeff M. Hackett, 61, of Muscatine, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the University of Iowa  Hospital following a sudden illness. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the shop, 2310 Burlington Road, Muscatine, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wilton Trap Team, It Takes a Village Animal Rescue, or the Muscatine Humane Society in Jeff’s memory.             Jeff was born April 23, 1962 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Mary Lue (Anderson) Hackett. He graduated from Louisa-Muscatine High School in 1980 and went on to receive his Master Electrician License. Jeff was united in marriage to Elizabeth Gaeta on June 20, 1986 in Muscatine, Iowa.

      Jeff owned and operated Jeff Hackett Electric and farmed in Muscatine. He was a skilled electrician, beloved husband and a very proud father of his two boys. Next to being a father, his favorite role was being grandpa to his granddaughter.   

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Elizabeth Hackett; sons: Aaron Hackett and Nathan (Jessica) Hackett; granddaughter, Kinley Hackett; brother, Todd (Tricia) Hackett and nieces and nephews.   

            He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Craig Hackett, Sr.
