Jane Brewer

Margaret “Jane” Brewer, 68, of Muscatine passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Birdhouse in Iowa City.  Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November21, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery.  A memorial has been established.   Sympathy notes and flowers may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Jane’s arrangements and her family. 

Margaret Jane Sayre was born on August 26, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Jack and Katherine (Mueller) Sayre.  Jane attended Davenport West High School and Scott Community College, receiving her nursing degree.  On December 14, 1970, she was united in marriage to Donald Brewer in Washington, Iowa.  Jane had worked as a nurse.  She attended Assembly of God in Muscatine.  Jane enjoyed sitting outdoors on the deck, watching birds, bowling, sewing, crocheting and anything tie dye.  She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and loved her pets. 

Jane will be deeply missed by her daughters, Barbara Brewer of Davenport and Elizabeth (Aaron) Courtois of Muscatine; one grandson, Abraham Courtois; sister, Ellen (Harvey Harrison) Taylor of Des Moines; brother, Don (Marcia) Sayre of Pittsburg and nephews, Jon Taylor and Kevin and Jeff Sayre.  

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald D. Brewer and her fiancé, Dennis Townsley.
