Jan Cassidy

Jan Cassidy 87, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Lutheran Living.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral  & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Jan’s arrangements.   Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Janette A. Counter was born on October 21, 1936 in Wabasha, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence Counter and Maybell (Nelson) Kremer.   On March 29, 1967, Janette was united in marriage to Neal Cassidy in South Dakota.  Jan was a member of Muscatine’s  Authors on the Avenue and was the author of two books, “I Am Jessie” and “Two Paths One Understanding.”   She also wrote a lot of poetry. 

Jan will be deeply missed by her siblings, James A Counter, Penny Gatz and Robert Kremer and many nieces and nephews.    

Jan was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
