Jacqueline Marie Flake

Jacqueline Marie Flake, 85, of Lone Tree, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  There will be no public visitation or funeral service.  A private burial will be held in the Lone Tree Cemetery at a later date.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Lone Tree is caring for Jacqueline’s family and arrangements. 

Jacqueline Marie Flake was born on February 27, 1936, in Lone Tree, Iowa the daughter of Merrill James and Monna Beatrice (Edwards) Flake.  She graduated from Lone Tree High School, attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant and finished her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Iowa.  Jacqueline was a teacher at Mid-Prairie.  She enjoyed watching T.V., reading and gardening. 

Jacqueline will be missed by her siblings, Ron Flake of Lone Tree and Mary Ann Scharfe of Ohio.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents.
