Jack Rice

Jack R. Rice, 70, of Wapello, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Wapello Specialty Care. A private interment will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Jack to help cover expenses. Jack was born September 30, 1951 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Catherine Rice. He graduated from Burlington High School. Jack was an expert in cigars and he loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was an avid reader and will be remembered for his sense of humor.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Wagner; niece, Christine; nephew, Stephen; aunt, Judy Rice; great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother; uncles, Kermit Rice and John Rice, Jr.; and aunts, Evelyn Harris and Annabelle Hetz.
