Ivan Kracht

Ivan Kracht, 80, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  Per Ivan’s wishes there will be no services or visitation.   Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Ivan Amandos Kracht was born on February 17, 1940 in Carroll, Iowa the son of Ivan Clarence and Maxine (Triede) Krach..  On June 9, 1989 Ivan was united in marriage to Bernita Etta Kruse in Muscatine.  Ivan had worked as a court bailiff, in construction and for the Sherriff’s office transporting prisoners.  Ivan loved going camping, fishing and golfing.  He really enjoyed playing cards down at the American Legion with his buddies.  Ivan also loved meeting new people and being social. 

Ivan will be missed by daughter, Julie of Boone; step-son, Joseph (Lisa) Ryan of Muscatine; step-daughter, Regina (Brad) Askam of Muscatine; four grandchildren, Logan Ryan, Ryan Askam, Alyssa Ryan and Kiersten Askam and brothers, James Kracht of NE and Michael Kracht of PA.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernita on June 19, 2019 and sister, Joan McKillip of CO.
