Henry H. Myers

Henry H. Myers, 79, died peacefully after a short illness on November 10, 2021.

Henry was born on April 19, 1942 to Hugh and Edna Myers of Sperry, Iowa. After high school graduation and studies at Burlington Community College, he bought his own farm outside Mediapolis in 1969 which would become his life’s work. He was proud to have successfully run the operation for which he will be remembered in the area until the time of his death.  He was fiercely private, sparse with his words and had a wicked sense of humor. 

Henry is survived by two sisters Patty Milton and Corrine Myers.  His legacy will be honored by his three daughters: Dori Hinson, BA (William Hinson), Beth Hinson, DVM (Andrew Hinson) & Kelly Myers, PhD (Marc Musset). Betty Eversmeyer, Lee Kerr, and 1 granddaughter (Savannah Kerr) and many nieces and nephews will also mark his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Dorothy Myers, and his brother, William Myers (Jolene Myers) and his favorite dog, Clint Eastwood Myers.

No visitation or funeral will be held per his wishes.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation.
