Hazel E. Stoderl, 68, of Wayland, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at her home in Wayland. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with burial in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Hazel. Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Hazel Ellen Liles was born on June 14, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Hallet Joseph and Wilna Fay (Mehaffy) Liles. She was a graduate of Danville High School. Hazel worked at Goodyear in Mt. Pleasant, Washington Care Center and then was the bar manager for The Eagle’s Nest in Coppock for the last 17 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and visiting with people at the bar, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Hazel deeply missed by her partner in life of 32 years, Dan Raymond of Wayland; her children, Jennifer Stodel of Washington, Dan Stoderl of Brighton and Laura Coffman of Memphis, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Emma Knupp, Eli Knupp, Keaton Stoderl, Korbyn Stoderl, Kassidy Stoderl, Niya Coffman and Abel Coffman and two brothers, Joe (Amy) Liles of Winfield and David (Lisa) Liles of Wayland.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Zachery Liles.
