Harold L. Cross, Jr, 57, of Muscatine, Iowa was diagnosed with metastatic cancer at the beginning of December and passed away shortly after surrounded by his beloved family by his side on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at UnityPoint Trinity Hospital in Muscatine. Per his wishes cremation rites have been arranged. Services will be held at a later date. Junior was born on December 28, 1967 in Muscatine, Iowa to Harold Cross Sr. and Lorretta (Bennett) Kokonen. He was a dedicated local handyman for many of the landlords in town. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He worked and volunteered his free time at the Jesus Mission Church. Junior was caring man who loved to draw, spend time with his loved ones and take care of his precious dogs Momma and Babies. Junior was considered as a ladies’ man and was blessed with 5 boys. Ralph Brewer, Dylan (Kristin) Maxfield, Charles Burns, Wesley Folley, and James Lyman and they gave him 11 beautiful grandchildren.
Junior was just the only boy with 3 sisters Sherry Cross (Gary), Kandice (Joe) Blick, Tera (Scott) Brockert, and Christy (Roger) Burns.
Junior was one with nature and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, cooking out, camping and riding his bike several miles a day all over town. Junior cherished his special bond he shared with his sister Sherry. That he tried to always go above and beyond to help woman and children in need. Even though he may have only had a little over a half of dozen nieces and nephews he was considered uncle June Bug to majority of ppl in this town and will be missed deeply by his loved ones.
June Bug was preceded in death by his parents, his uncles and his nephew Michael Phillips.
