Ethel Foster, 66, of Wapello, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at her home in Wapello. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Ethel Louise Foster was born on October 7, 1958, in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Charles C. and Vivian L. (Beeding) Foster. She worked at Tri-State and Grim Brothers in Wapello. Ethel enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping and fishing, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially babysitting her grandchildren.
Ethel will be deeply missed by her companion, Robert “Steve” Bishop of Wapello; her children, Phylicia (Ryan) DeVore of Muscatine and Logan (Taylor) Foster of Oakville; seven grandchildren, Gunner Salek, Gauge Salek, Holden DeVore, Emersyn Salek, Liam Foster, Elyh Foster and Lani Foster and siblings, Phyllis (Dan) Kauffman, Dorothy Marrow, Sally Malcom, Edith (Marlin) Spitznogle and Ina Foster, all of Wapello.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Kenneth Foster, Roger Foster, Mary Robertson, Allen Foster, Ross Foster and Audrey Sirovy.
