Ernest Oliver Anderson, age 53, passed at his home the morning of April 23, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will start at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Muscatine Izaak Walton League. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Ernest was born June 23, 1972, in Paragould, Arkansas, the son of Weldon Paul and Betty Joan (Mathis) Anderson. He lived and enjoyed many things in his life. Ernest had a love for the Grateful Dead, was a rockhound and miner in Colorado. He was an avid Denver Bronco fan, loved hiking, camping in the mountains of Colorado, loved fixing cars and teaching his girls about them. Ernest married in 1999 later divorced in 2015 . Together they had two daughters, Magnolia and Willow Anderson.
Ernest had many siblings, family and friends at his side. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Magnolia Anderson of Muscatine and Willow Anderson of Wilton; granddaughter, Brooklynn Anderson; siblings, Weldon Anderson, Jr. of Arkansas, Rachel (Kristopher) King of Muscatine, Daniel (Michelle) Todd of Huntsville, Alabama and Stanly “Steamer” Todd of Muscatine and favorite niece, Leah Brower.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents.
