Elizabeth Anna (Corbett) Vinton, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Lone Tree. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.
Elizabeth Corbett was born on August 29, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Bernard Joseph and Helen G. (Kirkpatrick) Corbett. She was a graduate of Lone Tree High School and then received her L.P.N. Degree from the University of Iowa. Elizabeth was united in marriage to David F. Vinton on May 23, 1964 and later divorced. Elizabeth worked for Lantern Park in Coralville for 30 years. She enjoyed taking cruises when she was young, crossword puzzles, singing karaoke, anything with cats and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, but most of all she dearly loved to spend time with her family.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her children, Belinda Whitehead of Lebanon, Missouri, Bernard (Michelle) Vinton of Oskaloosa, Kimberley Barnhill of Cedar Rapids and Amy Vinton of Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Gregory, Eric, Colter, Alyssa, Kyle, Chelsea, Cory, Eliza, Logan, Dave and Raven; 14 great grandchildren and siblings, J. Kirk (Linn) Corbett of Cedar Rapids, Don (Alisa) Corbett of California and Chris (Becky) Corbett of Stanwood.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and son, William in infancy.
