Eldon "Skip" Scott, Jr.

Eldon “Skip” Scott, Jr., 82, of Lone Tree, formerly of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Lantern Park Specialty Care in Coralville.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Lone Tree.  Memorials may be directed to your local animal shelter in memory of Eldon.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Eldon Sidney Scott was born on August 13, 1943, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Eldon Sidney and Wanda Marie (Hennick) Scott, Sr.  He was a 1961 graduate of Charles City High School at later attained his Associate’s Degree.  In May of 1963, Eldon was united in marriage to Joyce Schnieder, who passed in March of 2022.  On November 1, 2022, Eldon was united in marriage to Robin Shelby Gosnell in Troy, Missouri.  Eldon proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 24 years, stationed in several places around the world.  He was  a diesel mechanic, working on large equipment for the U.S. Air Force, American LaFrance and Lockheed Martin.  He was a member of the HAM Radio Club ARRL with the handle, W0SZV.  Eldon enjoyed rebuilding cars and computers, fishing and volunteering at Lincoln County Council on Aging in Troy, Missouri delivering meals to homes for those in need for 8 years. 

Eldon will be deeply missed by his wife, Robin, of Lone Tree; his children,  Donald (Svetlana) Scott of Fort Worth, Texas and Rachel (Timothy) Hubert of Hawk Point, Missouri; grandchildren, Donald (Madison) Scott, Michael Scott and Timothy (Gabby) Hubert; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Hubert and Kennedi Hubert and siblings, Robert (Mindy) Scott of Lone Tree, Jim (Judy) Scott of Lone Tree and Kirk (Cheryl) Scott of Mason City.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joyce and sister, Gail (Marty) Vossberg.
