Elaine Louise (Bergquist) Cook

Elaine Cook, 76, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home in Muscatine.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Burial will follow the services at Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the funeral home. Elaine Louise Bergquist was born on November 24, 1946 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Henrietta (Mohler) Bergquist.  She graduated from Notre Dame High School and beauty school.  On February 4, 1967, she was united in marriage to Larry Cook in Burlington.  Elaine was a homemaker and helped on the family farm.  She enjoyed trips to the casino, bowling, gardening, quilting and playing cards, hosting many card clubs.  Elaine loved her family, especially her grandchildren and was always at their events and activities.

Elaine will be deeply missed by her children, Randy (Brenda) Cook and Rhonda (Justin) Eden; grandchildren, KayLeigh Cook, Danielle Cook, Samantha (Jesse) Spitznogle, Austin Cook and Kael Cook; step-grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Kody, Ashli and Nathan; many great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer Dean (Oenita) Bergquist and brother and sister-in-law, Bob (Alta) Cook; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Denny and Sandy Bergquist and sister, Dee Dabney.
