Edward Pearl Runnells

Ed Runnells, 68, of Mediapolis, passed away on July 20, 2020 at Great River Medical Center in Burlington.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis. Edward Pearl Runnells was born on April 9, 1952 in Washington D.C., the son of Paul and Ruth (Kudart) Runnells.  He graduated from Burlington Schools.  He was united in marriage to Nancy Andries Jayne on April 9, 1993.  Ed worked various jobs over the years and was employed at Standard of Beaverdale in West Burlington for the last 17 years.

Ed is survived by his wife Nancy of Mediapolis; children, Edward Lee (Lindsey) Runnells of Burlington, Art Fisher of Mediapolis, Andy (Ruth) Fisher of Mediapolis, Kim Litton of Mediapolis, Angie Delgado of Burlington, Tammi (Tim) Edwards of Wapello, Tanya (Wade) Erickson of Sperry, Charity (Randy) Woslager of  Wentworth, SD; grandchildren, Destiny, Unity, Matt, Katlyn, Brandon, Britney, Dustin, Karley, Kloey, Ashlee, Alissa, Zach, Allen, Tristian, Cody, Stephanie, and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Solomon, Clark, Ayva, Norah, Neveah, Zeke, Kailee, Will, Gracie, Mallory, Wayne and Kaden; siblings, Sondra (Bob) Lewis of Coralville, Sheryl Runnells-Stafford of Superior, CO, Susan (Randy) Haberthur of Des Moines, Stephanie (Mick) Bennett of Iowa City, Gerry (Barb) Runnells and Jeff (Dawn) Runnells, both of Burlington; many nieces, nephews and grand fur babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ed enjoyed raising calves. He was always willing to be the grill master for family get togethers, especially his infamous “Christmas Brunch.” Anytime the family was able to come together was a delight for Ed. He truly enjoyed spending time with family.
