Douglas Duane McDonald

Douglas McDonald, 70, of Fairport passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  A memorial has been established in Doug’s name.   Sympathy notes may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Douglas Duane McDonald was born on October 14, 1954 in Muscatine, the son of Marvin and Mary (Dipple) McDonald. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School.  Doug enlisted in the United States Army. He worked for Kent Feeds and Terry & Sons.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years and lately could be found tinkering in his garage, making birdhouses and fixing things.

Doug will be deeply missed by his siblings, Tim McDonald (Nancy Marx) of Muscatine, Lori (William) Hopkins of Fairport and Leanna (Ross) Resetich of Muscatine; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Doug was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gary and Randy McDonald and sister, Diannia McDonald.
