Douglas Dewayne Black

Douglas D. Black, 67, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019, at his home.  Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Douglas.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh  Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for Douglas’ family and the arrangements.

Douglas Dewayne Black was born on January 8, 1958 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Donald Dean and Donna May (Ballenger) Black.  On March 5, 1985, Douglas was united in marriage to Ruth Wade.   Douglas had worked HWH for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and playing pool  or any other sport that he could be competitive with.

Douglas will be missed by his sister, Darla Lane of Higginsville, Missouri; step-daughters Gerianne (Mitch) Reichert and Paula Niaves of Muscatine and Julie Niaves of Elridge; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; wife and brother, Dennis.
