Doug Alan Pate

 Doug Pate, 57, of Marengo, IL, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at his home.    Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Kossuth Cemetery.   Memorials may be left to the Mediapolis Fire Department in memory of Doug.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Mediapolis is caring for the family. Doug Alan Pate was born on October 13, 1963, in Burlington, the son of Howard and Georgia (Williams) Pate.  He was a 1982 graduate of Mediapolis High School and a 1984 graduate of Indian Hills Community College.  Doug worked for 37 years as an Electronic Technician for Trans Canada Pipeline.  He enjoyed working on cars and was always tinkering on many projects.        

Doug will be deeply missed by his brother, Jeff (Linda) Pate of Osceola; nephew, Scott (Kristin) Pate of Winterset; niece, Sarah (Alfred Witte) Pate of Urbandale; and many cousins, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
