Doris Anna (Wimberly) Holliday

Doris A. Holliday, 92, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.  Private family services were held at Grace Lutheran Church.  Interment was in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Clarissa C. Doris Anna Wimberly was born on May, 22 1931 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Helen (Sinkler) Wimberly.  On June 12, 1949, Doris was united in marriage to Richard Holliday at Grace Lutheran Church in Muscatine.  Doris was a lifetime member of the Grace Lutheran Church.  She helped Richard on the family farm and raised her four boys.  Doris enjoyed ceramics, making many dolls and playing cards, especially euchre.  Most of all, she loved being with her family.    

Doris will be deeply missed by her four sons, Larry (Debbie) Holliday, Rick Holliday and Doug Holliday all of Muscatine and Lonnie Holliday of Florida; three grandchildren, Kathryn, Heather and Amy, seven great grandchildren, Maddison, Emily, Caleb, Ethan, Colin, Katelyn and Dylan and one great-great-grandson, Milex. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Dolores Pupello, Beverly Suhl and Karen Loy.
