Donna McBride, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 13th, 2026
No services are planned for this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Donna’s name. Donna was born August 27th 1940. The daughter of Donald L. and Barbara Brewer. On September 30th, 1983, she married the love of her life, John McBride.
Throughout their lives together, they experienced joy in the form of family, gardening, treasure hunting, and forever working collaboratively on home improvements. A dynamic duo, they were never apart. Together, they built a life of everlasting love, support, and guidance. Serving as the resident doctor, counselor, and wise matriarch, she was always there to help her family if they were ever in need.
Donna is survived by her sister, Nancy Fossberg, three daughters: (Barbie) Barbara Behrens, Muscatine, (Bino) Balinda (Jeff) McMullin, Kentucky, and (Mouse) Cherie Cook, Illinois. Four grandchildren; Brandy (Tommy) Reichert, Danni (Zack) Zumwalt, Thomas Behrens-Germain, Canada, and Jaime Kincaid. Eight Great-Grandchildren; (Sammi) Samantha (Nico) Harris, Ashlee (Charlie) Peacock, Zavier, Zachariah & Zophia Zumwalt, Tommy Behrens, Ashton, Kaeden & Brady Germain, Tylor (Danae) Staley, Takoma Miller, and Calista & Mason Kincaid. Seven Great-Great Grandchildren and one on the way.
She is proceeded in death by her son, (Buddy) David John Behrens, her parents, her two brothers Larry & Lester Brewer and her beloved husband, John McBride.
