Donald Carl Hamilton

Donald Carl Hamilton, 64, of Burlington, passed away suddenly on September 2, 2024 at his residence.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Wapello Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Louisa County Izaak Walton League. A memorial has been established for the family in Don’s memory. Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello is assisting the family. Donald Carl Hamilton was born February 10, 1960 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Donald and Alice (Beeding) Hamilton. Donald graduated from Wapello High School in 1979.  He was working for ABB in Burlington or what most would know as General Electric.   Don enjoyed listening to and collecting music, playing the guitar, and attending SCW Professional wrestling.   He was a die-hard Detroit Lions fan.

He will be deeply missed by his siblings: Frank (Linda) Hamilton of Osceola; Leroy Hamilton of Burlington; Ruby (Pete) Peterson of Burlington and Ruth (Andy) Fisher of Mediapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Fay Dean and Freddie Dale Hamilton, Clint Hamilton, and Elizabeth Allison; two nephews; and one great-nephew.
