Donald Lee Duder

Donald Duder, 92 of Riverside, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Lone Tree Health Care Center.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. Rosary at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Rites.  A time of food and fellowship will be held at the church following the services. Donald Lee Duder was born October 2, 1932 in Riverside, Iowa, the son of Stanley and Leola (Rummelhart) Duder.  On July 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to Aletha Wingler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1957, being stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict.  He was a painter at the University Hospital, starting in 1961 and retiring as Supervisor in 1987.  Donald was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside.  He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, horseshoes and bowling.  Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.

Donald will be deeply missed by his children, Terri (Gary) Mullinix of Lone Tree, LeAnn (Dave) Gerard of Iowa City, Gary (Barb) Duder of Washington; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Aletha, his brothers, Kenneth and Richard, and sister, Anna Mae.
