Donald L. Blaesing

Donald L. Blaesing, 87, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Trinity Rock Island.  No formal visitation or services will be held.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Donald’s family and arrangements.

Donald Lee Blaesing was born on October 18, 1936 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of John W. and Norma (Mardock) Blaesing.  On June 30, 1961, Donald was united in marriage to Marlene Joyce Pulliam at Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine.  Donald worked for GPC for over 35 years and was a past member of the Eagles Lodge in Muscatine.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman especially enjoying duck hunting and his fishing trips to Minnesota.  Donald also enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo in his free time.

  Donald will be deeply missed by his wife, Marlene of Muscatine; children, Steve (Eva) Blaesing of Londonderry, New Hampshire and Jeff Blaesing of Guthrie Center, Iowa; two grandchildren, Brandon Blaesing of Dover, New Hampshire and Daniel Blaesing of Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
