Don “Bones” Boulton, 75, of Wapello passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 peacefully at his residence in hospice care in Sulphur, La. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello. A gathering will follow the services at 225 Main Street, Middletown, Iowa, across from the Post Office. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Don’s name. Don LeRoy Boulton was born on December 7, 1945 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Hazel (McIntyre) Boulton. Bones worked at Rath Packing for years and retired as a Carpenter. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, drinking Busch beer, smoking cigarettes, playing the lottery, being around his children and loved telling his grandchildren stories.
Don will be deeply missed by his children, Shiela Boulton Cooper of Denham Springs, LA, Terra Boulton and Ron Blanton of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Sean Boulton, Alyssa Boulton, Josh Boulton, Arriana Boulton, Ola Boulton, Ashlyn Boulton, Devin and Anna Boulton, Brandon Cooper, Blake and Kelsey Cooper, Justin Soileau and Megan Soileau; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Boulton, Mariah Boulton and Rhys Boulton; brother, Ray and Roberta Boulton of Wapello, sister, Mary and Lyle Tompkins of Montezuma, IA.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Troy and Rob Boulton; grandson, Kevin Cooper; brothers, Ken Boulton, and Floyd Burdette Boulton and sister Geraldine Tollefson.
