Dolores “Dee” Rife, 86, of Lone Tree passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Parkview Manor in Wellman. A visitation will be held at a later date. Memorials may be left to the Iowa Lions Eye Bank in memory of Dolores. The Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Lone Tree is caring for the family. Dolores Fay was born on May 19, 1936 in Roswell, New Mexico, to Louis and Mildred (Foster) Fay Jr. She was united in marriage to Ronald Rife on October 3, 1959 in Lone Tree. Dolores received her teaching degree from the University of Iowa. She taught at Muscatine School and later at Meridian Elementary School in Nebraska. Dolores enjoyed puzzles of all kinds, watching Jeopardy and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her husband, Ronald of Lone Tree; children, Knute (Meredith) Rife of Salt Lake City, UT, Kris Rife of Lone Tree, Ann Boege of Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Brecia (Chaz) Bloom, Sarah Rife, Emma (Mike) Mason and Kjell Rife and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Louis Fay III, sisters, Jane Ecklund and SuSu McGinn
