Delilah "Dee" Mae Scarbrough

Delilah “Dee” Scarbrough, 68, of New London, gained her angel wings on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Full Gospel Revival Center in Kalona with her nephew Rev. Robert Newton officiating.  Private family burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Dee.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Winfield is caring for Dee’s family and arrangements.

Delilah Mae Scarbrough was born on May 7, 1953, in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles Otis and Edith Catherine (Anderson) Farrow.  On April 13, 2002, Dee was united in marriage to Terry Scarbrough in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.  

Dee was known to the family as “Sissy”. She loved taking long walks with her sister and enjoying nature. She loved traveling, camping, shopping and most of all playing piano and singing in churches with her husband wherever they were needed. She was an excellent cook and made many tasty dishes. She loved the holidays and looked forward to the first big snowfall every winter. She loved her family, nieces and nephews and spending time with them as well as all of her many friends she made across the U.S. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Terry of New London, IA and her siblings, Loretta White of Winfield, IA, Paul Farrow of Fort Gibson, OK, John Wesley Farrow of Bristow, OK and Roy “Bill” Farrow of Tecumseh, OK.      

Dee was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dallas Farrow, Hershel Farrow, David Farrow and Elizabeth  “Lizzy” Taylor.
