David Maxson Obituary

David L. Maxson, 65, of Muscatine, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2021 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  He passed at his home surrounded by his devoted family and his dog, Jaxson who was his best bud.  No visitation or services are planned for this time.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for the cremation arrangements.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

David Lee Maxson was born on March 29, 1955 in McAllen, Texas, the son of Eldon J. and Jean Marie (Houseman) Maxson.  On October 21, 2002, David was united in marriage to Teletha Jean Wheeler in Muscatine.  He had had many jobs over the years but most recently had retired from MUSCO Lighting.  Dave was a modest man who appreciated the simple things in life.  David loved watching WWE Wrestling and Chicago Bears Football, gardening, coca cola and most of all John Lennon who he had dedicated a room to in his home

 David will be deeply missed by his wife of 20-years, Teletha, who he lovingly called Tefa, of Muscatine; daughter, Cody Chyenne Maxson of Muscatine; sons Dustin (Laurie) Maxson of East St. Louis, Missouri and Dwayne Maxson of Missouri; Jerome (Kimmy) Wheeler of Stevensville, Michigan; six grandchildren, Jaiden and Amerie Dirzo of Muscatine, Analeis Wheeler of Muscatine, Mason Coulter of New Boston, Illinois Drake Maxson of St. Louis and Lena and Lucy Wheeler of Stevensville, Michigan and siblings, Nancy Maxson of Muscatine, Mike (Deanna) Maxson of Illinois city and Betty (Dave) Smith of Muscatine. 

David was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
