Darrell W. Reeves

Darrell W. Reeves, 83, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Accura Healthcare, Muscatine.  Private family interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Muscatine Humane Society in Darrell’s name. Darrell Wayne Reeves was born on June 6, 1941 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Orville “Bud” Lee and Edith M. (Greer) Reeves.  He was a 1959 graduate of Muscatine High School.  On December 8, 1961, Darrell was united in marriage to Daisy June Starkweather in Wapello, Iowa.  He had been employed at BT Prime Mover for several years before opening Reeves Battery in 1980.  Darrell enjoyed drag racing, camping, hunting, fishing-especially for crappie and wintering in Yantis, Texas.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events.

Darrell will be deeply missed by his wife, Daisy June; children, Scott (Sharon) Reeves, Randy (Wendy) Reeves and Sandy (Kevin) Silberhorn all of Muscatine; nine grandchildren, Erika, Holly, Katie, Kassie, Ky, Melanie, Haley, Mikel and Matt and fifteen great grandchildren, Xander, Madison, Owen, McKinzie, Lexi, Scout, Roy, Asher, Callen, Bishop, Amyrah, Rachel, Easton, Addison and Morgan.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike “Porky” Reeves; two brothers, Garry and Dennis Reeves and his beloved dog, Buddy.
