Darrell Brase, 65, of Grandview, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at his residence. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine. Graveside services for Darrell will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the family in Darrell’s name. Darrell Patrick Brase was born on October 3, 1960 in Muscatine, the son of Bernard and Dinah (Perry) Brase. Darrell attended schools in Wapello and Muscatine. He had worked for Williams Marine and for HON Industries for 35 years. Darrell loved the outdoors and everything about it; he enjoyed going out fishing, hunting, riding his side by side, boating and especially golfing.
Darrell will be deeply missed by his companion and love of his life for 35 years, Jackie Lange; his mother, Dinah Slee; sister, Shelly (Speedy) Ives, brothers, Greg Brase (Pam Casey), Anthony Brase, Jeff Brase (Machele Fredericksen) and Mark Brase; step-children, Mendi Robertson and Danielle Lange; grandsons, Nicholas Krueger, Nathan Clester and Ty Muniz; great granddaughters, Charlie and Lili and several nieces and nephews.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Brase; step-father, Jerry Slee; brother, Tim Brase and Jackie’s mother, Beverly Streets.
