Darla Jackson, 64, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 the Church of Christ in Muscatine. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Memorials may be left to the family in memory of Darla. Darla Faye Oostendorf was born on August 3, 1960 in Iowa City, the daughter of Darryl and Darlene (Foster) Oostendorf. She married Douglas Smith in 1980. The couple later divorced. In 2003 she married Raymond Jackson. He preceded her in death. Darla worked as a custodian at City Hall and for the Muscatine Schools. She enjoyed music, dancing and most of all, spending time with her family.
Darla will be deeply missed by her children, Shane (Anita) Smith of Canton, MO, Audrey Grosvenor of Illinois City, Douglas Smith of Illinois and Matthew Cybul of Muscatine; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brady, Oshen, Jerry, Myra, Zach, Maynard and Journey; great-grandchild, Alyana; brother, Louis Kulp of Muscatine; sister, Tabitha (Michael) Cardenas of Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale and Ruth Foster; parents; husband; daughter, Lisa Butler; brother, Tim Kulp; and two great-grandchildren.
