Dan Harris, 69, of Muscatine passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Genesis East in Davenport, Iowa. He was surrounded by his devoted family. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Island Cemetery in Fruitland. Dan was born March 10, 1951 in Carroll County, Tennessee to Marvin and Virginia (Williams) Harris. He had courageously battled against several life threating diseases since 2007, but maintained his incredible sense of humor. Dan was exceptionally proud to have served 10 years in the US Armed Forces. He owned and operated Harris Construction for many many years. Dan was best known for his love of fishing.
Dan will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 29 years, Karen; two daughters, Lori Harris and Angela Harris and stepson, Robert Newton, all of Muscatine. As well as four brother’s PG (Karen) Harris of Dunlap, IL., Bill Harris of Muscatine, Al (Leasa) Harris of Joplin, MO and Roger (Jill) Harris of East Moline. Plus, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents.
