Dale Edwin Zellers

Dale Edwin Zellers, 81, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Select Specialty Care of Davenport.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Interment will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.  Memorials for Dale may be directed to the American Cancer Society or New Life Baptist Church.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Dale Edwin Zellers was born on November 6, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Robert & Goldie (Dechant) Zellers.  Dale graduated with the class of 1960 from Dixie High School in New Lebanon, Ohio.  He then went on to attend Sinclair College for Transportation and Traffic Management.  On April 20, 1963, Dale was united in marriage to Cynthia Rike in New Lebanon, Ohio.  He had worked at NCR from 1960 until his retirement in 2010.  Dale spent his free time coaching youth sports-including baseball, girls soccer and girls basketball for many years in Trotwood, Ohio.  After Trotwood, the family moved to Duluth Georgia in 1995 and finally settled in Muscatine in 2019. 

Dale will be deeply missed by his wife, Cynthia Zellers; two children; son, Cary Zellers of Flowery Branch, Georgia and daughter, Tia (Kelly) McGriff of Muscatine; sister, Pat (Ralph) Bishop of Springboro, Ohio; six grandchildren, Brady McGriff, Nolan McGriff, and Colin McGriff all of Muscatine, Dr. Connor (Ali) McGriff of Highland Park, Illinois, Ellie Zellers of Alpharetta, Georgia and Chase Zellers of Flowery Branch, Georgia; one great granddaughter, Marley McGriff of Highland Park, Illinois; three nieces and one nephew. 

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Zellers, Jr and sister, Cheryl Fleming.
