Dale Edmonds, 90, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Mediapolis Global Methodist Church. Following the services, burial will be held at Kossuth Cemetery with military rites. Memorials may be left to Kossuth Cemetery or the Mediapolis Fire Department. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com
Dale Elmer Edmonds was born on January 30, 1935 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of John “Elmer” and Etta Marie (Moehle) Edmonds. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1962. On February 21, 1960, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Quell in Burlington. Dale was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, going to all 50 states and abroad. Dale was a fan of the Community Theater, going to many musicals and plays. He could often be seen in his bay window reading at all hours of the day. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Dale will be deeply missed by children, Patrick (Julie) Edmonds of Mediapolis, Alan (Jolene) Edmonds of Mediapolis and Cindy (Keith) Milder of Columbus Junction; grandchildren, Audrea Edmonds, Allison (Levi) Ruth, Amanda (Jake) Jenkins, Abby Edmonds, Alex Edmonds, David (Andi) Milder, Christine (Travis) Awe, Sarah (Brad) Conley, Sawyer Edmonds, and Wyatt Edmonds; great grandchildren, Caleb McCuen, Elijah Jenkins, Harper Jenkins, Emersyn Ruth, Addison Conley and James Conley; sister, Evelyn Boedeker of Fredericksburg and special friend, Mary Ann Walljasper.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, wife and grandson, Michael Milder.
