Cynthia Loraine Thomas was born on February 28, 1946, in Ohio, the daughter of Betty Gillespie. On April 27, 1963, Cindy was united in marriage to Richard Edward Moore, Sr. in Lorain, Ohio. Cindy worked several factory jobs, retiring from Thatcher Plastics. Cindy had a love for simple things like warm weather, beautiful flowers and wildlife, all of which prompted Cindy and Richard to make their homes in Two Egg, Florida, Brownsville, Texas and Costa Rica. Cindy enjoyed fishing, making jewelry, growing her own fruits to make jams and jellies, singing, and spoiling her furry and feathered family members. Above all, her faith in God was the utter most important part of Cindy's life and as well as her family.
Cindy will be deeply missed by her children, DeAnn Griffin of Muscatine and Richard Moore, Jr. (Renae Mickey) of Davenport; siblings, Kathy Loy (Rod Jenks) of Florida, Gary Gillespie (BJ) of Ohio, Debbie Staveski (Gene) of Ohio; grandchildren, Jessica Johnson (Scott Garner), Cynthia Johnson (Bruce Miller), Brooklyn Moore, Afton Moore, Kendsey Mickey and Kaeden Mickey; 8 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Betty and husband, Richard on September 5, 2021 and three angel great-grand babies.
