Connie Ann (Schenkel) Werling

Connie Werling 62, of Muscatine passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at her home in Muscatine.  Private family services will be held at a later date.   Online condolences may be left at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Connie Ann Schenkel was born on November, 8, 1960 in Clinton, the daughter of Rolland and Peggy (Hull) Schenkel Jr.  She was united in marriage to Robert Werling on April 3, 1982.  After 23 years, the couple divorced.  Connie worked at Upper Electronics, Letica and was the owner of the Atalissa Diner for a few years.  Most recently, she was working her dream job at Goodwill.  Connie enjoyed her flowers, gardening and taking care of her dogs, Snoopy, Dozer and Jasmine and her cat, Cat.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Connie will be deeply missed by her daughters, Ronda Werling Wisman of Atalissa, Bobbie Werling of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Tamra, Mallory and Carter Wisman; mother, Peggy Schenkel of Bennett; siblings, Rolland ‘Punk” (Marsha) Schenkel of Muscatine, Jackie Verhelst of Bennett, Louie (Tammy) Schenkel of West Branch; sister-in-law, Deb (Don) Schlimmer- Hartley of Lone Tree; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Rolland Schenkel Jr.; brother, Ronnie Schenkel; brother-in-law, Duke “Nurse” Verhelst and nephew, Randy Schenkel.
