Connie was born in Winfield, Iowa, April 22, 1941, to Gaylord and Cecile Abbott. She grew up in Fairfield, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1959. She was very involved in music and several other extracurricular activities. After graduation, Connie attended AIC Business School in Davenport, graduating with a business degree. She was employed by the Davenport Police Department, Bendix Corporation and a local law firm.

Connie married the love of her life, Larry Robertson, on November 18th, 1962. They were married for 60 wonderful years. Connie’s greatest joy was her family. Together Connie and Larry raised four children, taking an active role in their lives as well as their grandchildren, loving every opportunity to spend time with family. They were regulars at their numerous events and loved supporting each of them. She traveled with Larry to many beautiful places, always returning with entertaining stories and photos. Connie loved music and always had it playing at home, whether she was at the piano, the record player, or practicing for Sweet Adelines.

Connie's strong faith, friendly style, and incredible resilience are just a few of her special qualities that will be remembered and celebrated. Her Christian values and love for family were the foundation for how she lived each day and she set a powerful example to all who knew and loved her. Connie was a member of Columbus Junction United Presbyterian Church.

Connie is survived by her husband, Larry; daughters, Sheri (Jon) Austin, Wendy (Brian) Frese, Molly (Christopher) Brischetto and son, John ‘Jay’ (Susie) Robertson; grandchildren, Taylor, Sabrina, Julia, Rylie, Lexi, Mia, Nathan, Justin, Kinsley, Trace and Cal.
