Obituary

Clinton Hamilton, 65, of Wapello, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his residence. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Louisa County Izaak Walton League, 10892 Co Rd X61, Wapello, IA. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello are assisting with arrangements. 

Clinton Marvin Hamilton was born January 2, 1958 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Donald Wilson and Alice Elizabeth (Beeding) Hamilton. He graduated from Wapello High School. Clinton worked in carpentry and construction most of his life. He enjoyed reading and building things, including cars, motorcycles, homes and sheds. He was talented at creative construction and was always tinkering with things.

He was a loving father and will be deeply missed by his sons: Levi (Julie) Hamilton of Burlington and Bret (Nicole) Hamilton of Raymond, MN; grandchildren: Isaac, Allyson and Nathan Hamilton; siblings: Frank (Linda) Hamilton of Osceola; Leroy Hamilton of Burlington; Ruby (James) Peterson of Burlington; Donald Hamilton of Burlington; and Ruth (Andy) Fisher of Mediapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elizabeth (Stanley) Allison; and two brothers: Fay and Freddie Hamilton.
