Claude L. “Dutch” Dickey, 89, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at his home in Muscatine. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with burial in the Healy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at the funeral home in Dutch’s name. Claude L. Dickey was born on March 27, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Lester H. and Rose M. (Muse) Dickey. Dutch proudly served his country in the United States Army from November of 1958 – November of 1960, serving in Germany. On June 22, 1962, Dutch was united in marriage to Norma Jean Hogan in Muscatine. He was a farmer and also worked for the Muscatine County Highway Department for 15 years. Dutch was a member of the Quarter Horse Association and enjoyed running a wagon with horses in many parades and playing cards.
Dutch will be deeply missed by his children, Ted Dickey of Muscatine and Tina J. (Dennis) Witte of Muscatine; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and sister, Debbie S. Rummels of Wilton.
Dutch was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; brother, Richard Dickey and sisters, Martha Kingery and Donna Frank.
