Obituary

Clara L. Maylone, 79, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Clara’s family and the arrangements.

Clara Lena Milder was born on August 27, 1943, in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Elmer and Doris (Brown) Milder.  She worked at Letica for several years in printing.  Clara enjoyed her flowers, gardening, watching the birds, being in the outdoors and baking at Christmas, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Clara will be deeply missed by her children, Jerry (Jaime) Maylone of Anamosa, Donald (Trina) Maylone of Muscatine and Angela (Javier) Sixtos of Muscatine; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and two sisters, Ann McCleary of Blandinsville, Illinois and Barb Clester, who took great care of Clara for the last several years.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; companion, Garry LaRue on February 16, 2004; two daughters, Melissa Maylone and Christina Maylone; one brother, Edward Milder and three sisters, Elizabeth Milder, Dolores Maylone and Dorothy Ramirez.
