Clara Angelica Alvarado, 67, of North Liberty, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at her home. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Clara Angelica Zorola Perez was born on August 5, 1953, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Fermin Zorola Cruz and Manuela Perez Rodriguez. On October 14, 1973, Clara was united in marriage to Trinidad Alvarado in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Clara was a homemaker and a member of the Independent Pentecostal Christian Church in West Liberty. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, shopping, making new friends, advising and loving people, reading, word search puzzles, texting, calling on phone, traveling, volunteering at church kitchen, and Vacation Bible School.
Clara will be deeply missed by her children Maria Montes de Oca (Victor Hugo) of Iowa City, Daniel Alvarado (Tara) of Coralville, Elsa Perez (Edgar) of North Liberty; six grandchildren, Angel Alvarado, Gabe Alvarado, Yulianna Montes de Oca, Marcos Montes de Oca, Madai Perez, Mia Perez and siblings, Lilia Zorola Perez, Silvia Zorola Perez, Idialia Zorola Perez, Rafael Zorola Perez.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings Alvaro Zorola Perez, Guillermina Zorola Perez, Sergio Zorola Perez, Arnulfo Zorola Perez, Rodolfo Zorola Perez, and Gustavo Zorola Perez.
