Christine J. (Ernst) Stephens

Christine J. Stephens, 69, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Genesis MercyOne in Davenport.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Fruitland Community Center.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Christine’s name. Christine Joan Ernest was born on April 8, 1956, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Beverly (Paul) Ernst.  She was a graduate of L&M High School and attended Hamilton Tech.  On October 14, 1988, Christine was united in marriage to Michael Stephens in Muscatine.  Christine had worked at H.J. Heinz, C.D.S in Wilton and as a secretary for Harold Rosenberg.  She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, cooking, traveling, riding the trike, her Collie Dogs and more than anything cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren. 

Christine will be deeply missed by her husband, Michael of Muscatine; children, Kristopher (Stephany) Ball of Davenport, Rory Ball of Grandview, Greg Stephens of Marion, Becky Esparza of Muscatine and Amanda (Paul) Mesa of Muscatine; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

Christine was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Cody Terpenning.
