Charles A. McAuly, 83, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at his home in Columbus Junction. Private family services will be held at a later date with burial in the Columbus City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Charles. Charles Arthur McAuly was born on March 1, 1938, in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of Ernest and Dorothy (Fuller) McAuly. Charles was united in marriage to Shirley Hamberger and later divorced. On December 28, 1984, Charles was united in marriage to Donna Reynolds in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. Charles worked at Damrow as a welder and also owned and operated Nip Nap Inn in Waupun, Wisconsin for five years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, cookouts and shooting guns. Charles also enjoyed woodworking and wood crafting, but most of all, he dearly loved to spend time with his family.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna of Columbus Junction; children, Darrell (Denise) McAuly of North Carolina, Scott (Delores) McAuly of Fayetteville, Wisconsin and Lori (Jay) VanKooy of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin; stepchildren, Barbara Reynolds of Green Lake, Wisconsin, Debra VanAuken of Columbus Junction, Lisa Reynolds of Columbus Junction, Donald Reynolds of Columbus Junction, Ronald Reynolds of Glenwood, Theresa (Todd) Fulton of Columbus Junction and Diana (Mike) Holmes of Columbus Junction; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Steven (Rose) McAuly of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and sister, Kathy Lockin of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson, David Reynolds.
