Carolyn (Yates) Reid

Carolyn Reid, 78, of Letts passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.  Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the funeral home.  Enichement will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Community Garden Mausoleum.  A memorial has been established in Carolyn’s name for the First Presbyterian Church of Muscatine.   Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.

Carolyn Maxine Yates was born on September 18, 1944 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Ross W.  and Dorothy B. (Furgason) Yates.  Carolyn was a 1962 graduate of Columbus Community High School and went on to attend AIC.  Carolyn worked at the Implement Dealership in Columbus City, while working there she met Garry Reid.  On January 5, 1969, Carolyn was united in marriage to Garry at the Cotter Presbyterian Church.   Garry and Carolyn farmed together from then on. 

  Carolyn will be deeply missed by her sisters, Barbara Lucky and Linda Rinehart; nephew, Brian (Kayla) Lucky and several cousins. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garry on July 9, 2023 and two brothers-in-law, Gary Lucky and Don Rinehart.
