Cari S. Green, 63, of Wapello, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at her home in Wapello. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 226 Washington, Wapello, Iowa. Visitation will be held with the family on Sunday beginning at 12:30 P.M. Burial will be in the Edwards Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Cari. Cari Sue McCallister was born on January 23, 1961, in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of John Mark McCallister and Marilyn Beardsley. She was united in marriage to Gene Allen Green, Sr. in 1994 in Iowa City. Cari worked for PRP in Mediapolis and was a heavy equipment operator for PCI for many years. She enjoyed collecting rocks, crafting, cooking and baking. Cari was an avid mushroom hunter.
Cari will be deeply missed by her mother, Marilyn Tadlock of Wapello; her children, Catrina Lynn Millard of Muscatine and Trishia Lamb of Wapello; grandchildren, Breanna Lamb, Dakota Lamb, Brandon (Ruby) Ramos, Aiden Dykes and Emma Dykes; great grandchildren, Aria Small and Holden Lamb; brother, James Thye of Colorado and ex-husband, Ricky Millard of Wapello.
Cari was preceded in death by her husband, Gene and daughter, Angela Marie Millard.
