Bruce Taylor Obituary

     Bruce G. Taylor, 70, of Riverside, formerly of Olin, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his home in Riverside.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Bruce.  Sympathy notes may be left for the Taylor family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.   The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Riverside is caring for Bruce’s family and arrangements. 

     Bruce G. Taylor was born on November 23, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Clyde Richard and Charlene Ione (Lyons) Taylor.  He was a graduate of Olin High School.  Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and belonged the Riverside V.F.W. Post 6414.  Bruce enjoyed watching the History and Western Channels, was an avid Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan and was known for his laugh.

     Bruce is survived by his children, Vena (Tom) Nurre of Fairfax and Heather (Rod) Souchek of Bellevue, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Olivia, Isabelle, Jalyn (Keith) and Jacob (Crystal); siblings, Blair Taylor of Arkansas, Bryce (Penny) Taylor of Arkansas, Becky (Ron) Zimmerman of Olin and Brett Taylor of Anamosa and close friend, Joe Rohwedder of Iowa City.

     Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Blake Taylor.
